On a personal note, I understand such feelings as I myself lost my father in Dec 2009 with B-cell lymphoma and my mother's sister with ovarian cancer in 2002. Recently, I witnessed a young man, 31 years, died of Acute Leukemia, leaving behind a wife and 1 year old son; I'm sure many other people are afflicted by the loss of loved ones with this horrible disease that is cancer.<br />Politicians need to be advised properly on the necessity of medical research (mainly translational medicine in this day and age) and let's hope they get the message.Ziyadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10021417204870939933noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6898416659921608993.post-19390447989326712592011-04-18T05:15:08.179-07:002011-04-18T05:15:08.179-07:00A very painful experience that hopefully will help...A very painful experience that hopefully will help others. The cuts need to be widely advertised because I don't think the lay person is aware of the consequences. In addition, the PM on the radio said it isn't certain that the cuts will happen. To counteract this, maybe you need to state the reasons/evidence why you think there will be cuts, to stay one step ahead?Jameshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05063769478408938169noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6898416659921608993.post-22905380419501947522011-04-12T02:23:40.610-07:002011-04-12T02:23:40.610-07:00What a stirring anecdote. The best physicans of the day stood helpless in the face of deadly infections until the arrival of penicillin.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6898416659921608993.post-47656392514036750132011-04-11T04:28:28.628-07:002011-04-11T04:28:28.628-07:00Julio,
